ABOUT ME
Hello, my name is Charlotte.
I’m a Clinical Psychologist passionate about making therapy accessible, especially during life’s most challenging times. I believe that emotional wellbeing is just as vital as physical health, and I’m committed to creating a safe, non-judgemental space where you feel truly heard, understood, and supported.
I specialise in working with people living with long-term health conditions, particularly persistent pain. Many of my clients arrive feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected from their sense of self. Together, we explore the relationship between your thoughts, emotions, behaviours, and physical experiences, and develop practical, evidence-based strategies to help you move forward.
Whether you’re facing anxiety, low mood, health-related stress, or navigating a difficult life transition, I offer a calm and compassionate presence to support you. I bring curiosity, empathy, and flexibility to each session and tailor therapy to reflect your individual goals, values, and needs.
MY EXPERIENCE
I hold a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology and am registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) as a Clinical Psychologist.
I currently work within a Persistent Pain team, where I deliver evidence-based psychological therapies including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). My work focuses on helping individuals break unhelpful patterns, build self-awareness and compassion, and manage the emotional toll of living with long-term physical conditions.
During my doctoral training, I worked across a wide range of NHS services, including IAPT, a dementia clinic, paediatric and cardiac services, and an early intervention team. Across these roles, I’ve supported people experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, identity difficulties, and emotional overwhelm.
I’m experienced in delivering therapy both in person and online. I’ve seen how powerful online therapy can be in reaching people who might otherwise struggle to access support – whether due to health, location, or other life demands.
MY APPROACH
My therapeutic style is integrative and evidence based. This means I draw from several psychological models to adapt my work to suit your specific needs and preferences. I often use elements of CBT, ACT, and CFT, helping you to understand your experiences, explore new ways of responding, and reconnect with your values and sense of self.
As your therapist I see my role as offering a consistent, compassionate space where you can explore what matters to you.
Our sessions will be guided by your goals, values, and pace. I aim to support you in building resilience, developing psychological flexibility, and reconnecting with the things that matter most – so that you can live a life that feels more manageable, meaningful, and aligned with who you are.
