ABOUT ME
Hello, I’m Robyn.
I’m passionate about supporting people in leading fulfilling lives—where they feel confident in their choices and equipped to face life’s challenges. Before training as a counsellor, I spent my career helping others in a variety of roles. Through this journey, I’ve come to understand that many of the unhelpful thoughts and emotions we experience stem from our past—our relationships with others, and most importantly, our relationship with ourselves.
As a counsellor, I offer a safe, non-judgmental space where you can explore your world at your own pace. My role is to walk alongside you as you make sense of your past experiences, understand how they’ve shaped you, and build healthier ways of thinking and coping. I’m here to help you reconnect with yourself, develop self-compassion, and find lasting change.
It would be a privilege to support you on this journey of self-discovery, healing, and growth.
MY EXPERIENCE
I have a degree in Psychology and a NCPS-Accredited Professional Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling Practice.
I have worked in various setting during my time as a counsellor including;
- Primary and secondary schools supporting young people with their mental health needs.
- Supporting sixth form students with their mental health needs.
- Supporting neurodivergent individuals access mental health support.
- Bereavement support service, where I supported people to process their grief and loss.
- Supporting clients online with a range of presenting issues ranging from anxiety to gender dysmorphia.
MY APPROACH
I work as a integrative counsellor, which means I believe there is no one-size-fits-all approach to therapy. Each person is unique, and different methods work at different times for different individuals. I draw on a range of therapeutic perspectives and work collaboratively with my clients to find the approach that best suits their needs, preferences, and goals. This flexible, client-centred way of working allows us to shape the therapy process together in a way that feels meaningful and effective.
I adhere to the ethical guidelines set out by the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society (NCPS), ensuring that my practice is safe, respectful, and of the highest professional standard. I’m also committed to my own well-being and continuous professional development, so I can provide the best possible support to those I work with.
